Round granites at Volax
by Konstantinos Kourtidis, Demokritus University of Thrace, Xanthi, Greece
Granitic field of Volax. The greater area surrounding Volax village in Tinos island, Cyclades, Greece is full of round granite rocks scattered on an arid land of several square kilometers. There are very few places like that on earth. The largest rocks in this picture might be up to 10 m in diameter.
