Touched by the goddess
Yamdrok Lake, in Tibet is one of the three sacred lakes, said to favour divination. Legend has that it has its origins in the transformation of a goddess. It currently supports many migratory birds. It also hosts the largest hydropower station in Tibet, leading to severe environmental concerns.
