Kara Sea, Novaya Zemlya Archipelago. North island. Blagopoluchiya Bay. September 2018.
Expedition on R/V “Akademik Mstislav Keldysh”, Shirshov Institute of Oceanology, RAS. The play of light on the water and the stripes are formed by the boat during the landing. In September water of the bay was like liquid vinyl. This effect is achieved due to the fact that the surface temperature of water temperature is close to freezing and the surface becomes as if oily.
