Water stream as cold as ice

Water contaning iron water causes rusty colores of a small water stream in south-western highlands in Iceland. On a windy day with temperatures just above 0°C, the stream was partly covered by ice. The freezing conditions created geometrically shaped patterns within this thin ice layer.
