Reward for fieldwork far from home (Refahiye, Turkey)

With uplifted blocks and downfolded troughs covered by recent deposits and giving the appearance of a rough terrain, Anatolia and the Eastern Pontides provide a structurally complex and physically demanding area to conduct fieldwork. At the end of the day, sat upon a mountain top covered by a dense forest (predominantly of conifers), nothing is as gratifying as having the luxury of being a witness to the beauty of art perfected by mother nature herself.
