Pasmina goat herding in the Karakorum

The pastoral nomadic herders of these goats graze them in the high elevation mountains in the region. Harsh winters can cause high mortality of livestock, at the same time, good winter snowfall is important to main healthy vegetation cover in this desert mountain ecosystem.
