Hazeva at Paran Valley
This is an image of the Miocene Hazeva unit deposited by a large Miocene river draining the Arabian plate into the Mediterranian before the formation of the Dead Sea rift. Chert pebbles and quartz sand compose this part of the unit that has been exposed by recent erosion of the Paran Valley.
