Giant Hands, called Support, in a rare snowy event in a floating city of Venice
This art installation, called “Support,” was created by artist Lorenzo Quinn in Venice’s world-famous Grand Canal to raise awareness of people about climate change. By holding up the historic hotel from falling into the water, it symbolized not only the threat of climate change but also the power that mankind could stop it. Interestingly, this photo was taken in a rare snowy day, March 1st, 2018, which emphasized the impact of climate change on this sinking city. The final message is that “Take actions now to save the floating city which could be almost entirely submerged by as early as 2100”
