Above the trimline .
Sitting on fresh glacial polish among other glacier debris, an erratic block only a few decades old was deposited on this rocky ridge by the Rhone Glacier. Above this plastic landscape, is its source area, the steep frost-shattered rock faces towering above the upper limit of glacial erosion.
