Granitic invation in the city

The marvelous city of Rio de Janeiro is not only known for the carioca way of life but also for its breathtaking landscape. Due to differential weathering and strong valley incision, steep Neoproterozoic and Cambrian granitic domes emmerge close to the beaches shaping this unique scene.
