Flying into the sunrise

This picture was taken during an open ocean cruise 2018 (GEOMAR) with the RV Poseidon (Kiel). A bunch of northern gannets and other sea birds accompanied the ship at this beautiful moring sunrise on our way to the upwelling zone of Mauritanias coast.
