On thin ice with a Secchi disk
Measuring water transparency with a Secchi disk on Paravani Lake, 2073 meters above sea level, mid November 2017, -9 Celsius, very windy. Seconds after taking the picture ice broke. Luckily the person on the image was wearing a thick wet-suit under the rubber. Abul-Samsari Range visible on the background.
