Charyn Canyon National Park

Charyn Canyon is a canyon on the Charyn River in Kazakhstan, close to the Kyrgyzstan and Chinese borders. It is part of the Charyn National Park. The canyon is roughly 90 kilometres in length. Charyn canyon is composed of sedimentary rocks, the age of which is about 12 million years. The depth of the canyon reaches 150-300 m. Though it is much smaller than the Grand Canyon, it has been described as being equally impressive.
