Tragédia em Nova Friburgo (Brazil) - photographic memory
A series of deadly landslides, debris flows and flash floods occurred between 11 and 12 January 2011 in a mountainous region called Região Serrana, in the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro. This photo has been shot two years later in Corrego Dantas, a neighborhood of the municipality of Nova Friburgo. The photo within the photo was shot by a local resident, the morning after his village was completely swept away by a huge debris flow.
