Hessdalen lights
by Bjørn Gitle Hauge, Østfold University College, Fredrikstad, Norway
The unexplained transient luminous phenomena in the low atmosphere of Hessdalen valley, Norway. The Finsa mountain range at 1000m altitude seen in the background, clear sky conditions with stars.
Camera equipped with optical transmission grating showing the continuous optical spectrum in the lower part of the picture. This indicates that the lights are plasma.
