An overview of one of the oldest church in earstern part of Turkey, Van.
Akdamar Church built in the 7th century on an island at Van lake with using red andesites which gathered from the island and it's around and from that time it is still standing just like it new. Of course there were some restoration works done in the church by Ottoman Empire and Turkey. Everyone can visit this magnificent geological and architectural heritage.
