An overview of one of the biggest coal pit mine in Western part of Turkey, Tunçbilek, Kütahya.
I took this photograph at one of the our field trips within the scope of the engineering geology course we gave at the undergraduate level. In the photo everything seems to have frozen for an momentary but a struggle lasting 24 hours is continuing uninterruptedly to meet Turkey's growing energy needs.
