Aerial view of nature strength
by Cristina Biete, Institut de Ciencies de la Terra Jaume Almera ICTJA-CSIC, Barcelona, Spain
In this aerial view can be seen how Colorado river erosive strength has dig an impressively tall and wide canyon on a flat land that now is covered by a forest, yes, this green mat that can be seen on the right side of the picture is a forest although trees cannot be distinguished, some roads can also be seen, this shows the scale of the canyon! Enormous!!!
At the far left end folded horizons can be seen and are probably accommodating extensional faults displacement.
