Badlands in Sebes
Rapa Rosie, Alba County, Romania, is one of the most representative example of badlands in Romania. Deep excavations of the runoff gave birth to this spectacular microrelief. Reddish colour is due to the chemical compisition rich in iron hydroxides, that were deposited in Upper Cretaceous, lower Miocene age.
