Borehole Observatory Preparation

Engineers and scientists prepare 185 temperature sensors in the core-tech lab aboard the D/V Chikyu ahead of deployment during IODP Expedition 502E. Careful maintenance ensures the observatory will collect reliable long-term data from at the plate boundary fault beneath the seafloor.
