Textured Skies at Daybreak over High Altitude Cloud Physics Laboratory, Mahabaleshwar, Western Ghats of India.
A patterned field of altocumulus clouds spreads across the morning sky, illuminated by the first light of sunrise. Such cloud formations often reflect layered atmospheric stability and subtle wave motions in the mid-troposphere. Beneath this vast cloud canvas, a microwave radiometer silently profiles temperature and humidity, translating sky patterns into quantitative insight over HACPL, which is situated at 1390m AMSL. The image bridges visual beauty and invisible physics, reminding us that clouds are both aesthetic structures and atmospheric data carriers.
