Faulted Fault
by John Clemens
This image was taken from the South Rim of the Grand Canyon in Arizona, standing on the trace of the Bright Angel Fault and looking out at the many different and colourful formations that make up this layer-cake of geological history. The Fault continues across the Colorado River, slightly offset by later faults that govern the course of the river here.
