Happy scientist with artwork

In this picture, I am posing with a beautiful mural on display at the Talk CEC exhibition on "Seas and Oceans", a science-art-fusion event in Brussels. This artwork captures the essence of the research conducted in my PhD thesis, showcasing the three main elements: a glacier, a proglacial basin, and a sediment record. The sediment stratigraphy, depicted through a series of colored bands, illustrates how glacier dynamics are recorded in proglacial sediments and how they can provide valuable insights into past environmental changes. This artwork was created in collaboration with artist Néfrit and celebrates the beauty and complexity of glacial sedimentology while highlighting its scientific significance.
