 
        Between rocks and heaven
In central Norway, September can be an unpredictable month for fieldwork, with everything from radiant sun to icy wind. In this case, my colleagues and I did not mind the approaching clouds while looking for (and finding!) evidence of recent carbonation on the surface of ultramafic rocks in mine tailings close to the town of Røros.
