La Olla, Aliaga Geological Park
by Elena Núñez-Guerrero, University of Salamanca, Salamanca, Spain
The picture shows an anticlinal vertical axis crease in lower Cretaceous materials whose deposits are the consequence of marine transgression which formed a shallow carbonated platform in the Iberian basin, south of the Ebro Massif, where communities of foraminifera, mollusks and echinoderms growed up.
