Ragged peaks and green valleys in a scarred landscape
The Italian dolomites exists of raw, ragged peaks with huge debris cones or alluvial fans, alternated by lush green hills and valleys. Rockfalls and avalanches left a contrasting imprint on the green valley slopes of this scarred landscape. More than once we had to walk over rock debris that covered the trail.
