Different Scales: Human vs. Highest Active Volcano of the Northern Hemisphere
During our descent from the summit of Klyuchevskaya Sopka (4800m) the highest active volcano of the northern hemisphere I stopped to get a sense of its size by flying my drone away from me and my companions. This 6000 year old strato volcano is erupting usually at least once per year and is located on Kamtschatka in the East of Russia close to Alaska. During the 2 weeks we spent in the surrounding national park we could observe a varying volcanic activity every day.
