Bahram-Palace-Caravansary
by Shahab Asaadi, Tehran, Iran
The Ghasre Bahram Caravanserai is a Safavid dynasty caravanserai located 154 km south of Tehran, in the stone old route of Isfahan–Kashan-Garmsar, Semnan province, Iran. Unlike its name, according to the expert's statements, this caravansary was a place for Safavid kings in the hunting times and royal journeys. Nowadays, it`s specialized as a resort for tourists and researchers, a hostel and a gamekeeper site for observing, located in Kaveir national park. The structure of this building is based on four balconies. You can see many rooms that had been built around the yard or on the central apron.
