The marvellous Lion Sphinx
Cape Town in South Africa is the mother of all cities in the world, if you believe the Capetonians. But the magic of Cape Town is not founded in the belief of their citizens, it is in the unique mixture of mountains, green parks and people in this nearly most southern part of the continent of Africa. The composition of buildings and green parks surrounding the impressive Lion's Head and Signal Hill as known as Lion Sphinx fulfills the aesthetics of the city in the big shadow of the famous Table Mountain. Although these hills are located in the heart of the city, it is not allowed to build higher than a certain line. Furthermore, the slopes of Signal Hill preserves one of two remnants of the critically endangered indigenous and endemic vegetation: Peninsula Shale Renosterveld.
