Storm over the Sierra de Aconquija
A local thunderstorm developed above a catchment in the Sierra de Aconquija, in the southern Central Andes of Argentina. These thunderstorms occur suddenly and dramatically, and trigger debris flows in the mountain range that flow out catastrophically into the basin where we were working.
