Wakhan Corridor
The Wakhan Corridor is bounded by the high mountains of the Pamir to the north and the Hindu Kush to the south.
The photograph shows the Hindu Kush on the south side of the Panj River in Afghanistan with a large alluvial fan spreading out across the valley floor.
